Jonathan's Place

GVA Cawley is proud to support the children of Jonathan's Place as Room Partner through the 2007 Movado Jonathan's Place Golf Classic from September 2008 through August 2009.

Jonathan's Place has been taking care of the youngest members of our community that have suffered the trauma of abuse. They are an emergency shelter for abused, abandoned and neglected children, age newborn to 17 years. They are the only licensed emergency shelter in the area that serves children under the age of ten (10).

Jonathan's Place is a temporary home for these youngsters, with the key word being home. They have 14 bedrooms, with 2 beds in each room, and a 4-crib nursery. All the children's basic needs are met, including food, clothing and education, and advanced needs, including medical, dental and psychological.

The Kaye/Bassman Foundation

Each year GVA Cawley is a sponsor of The Kaye/Bassman Foundation Annual Fundraiser event. The Kaye/Bassman Foundation is a not-for-profit organization created with the primary mission of creating and perpetuating an environment of charitable giving, to foster hope and personal growth, to support medical research, and to enhance the lives of people in need. They began in 2001 as a small grass-roots group of volunteers who saw unmet needs and an opportunity to make a difference. Today with the help of generous sponsors, friends and colleagues they strive to make a difference. In both 2007 and 2008, The Kaye/Bassman Foundation donated $180,000 to deserving charities, bringing total donations since inception to nearly $800,000. Their current charities include: MDA, City House, and Darius Goes West.

GVA Cawley is proud to support the efforts of The Kaye/Bassman Foundation and the lives that they so generously touch. We invite you to become a sponsor of The Kaye/Bassman Foundation's events and join us in supporting their mission. Please visit www.kbiccharities.com for more information.
